Schnack Dr. Susan M. Schnack
Board Certified Doctor of Audiology, Board Certified Licensed Hearing Instrument Specialist


Dr. Susan M. Schnack has provided service to individuals concerned about their hearing and those with the desire to improve their hearing lifestyle for over 30 years.

She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology at West Virginia University graduating Cum laude. She received her Masters Degree of Science from George Washington University in Audiology.  Finally, she completed her Doctorate in Audiology from AT Still University, Arizona School of Health Sciences.

Dr. Schnack is a member of the: American Board of Audiology, Academy of Doctors of Audiology, American Academy of Audiology, Florida Academy of Audiology, American Speech, Language and Hearing Association, and Beta Phi Eta, the Audiology Honors Society.

Dr. Schnack worked at both the VA Hospital in Washington, D.C. as well as at a private practice 2 blocks from the White House where she was the Audiologist for the Secret Service, CIA, FBI and even 2 past Presidents!

She moved to Florida in 1993 with her husband Dennis and son. Dr. Schnack was a Trainer for Audiologists and Hearing Instrument Specialists throughout Florida prior to opening Sarasota Hearing Center in 2002. Her diverse background afforded Dr. Schnack with a unique perspective from the manufacturer, medical, and retail sales.

Dr. Schnack enjoys the Florida sun and beach, time with her husband and boys, is a member of the Sarasota Bay Parrothead Club, Coordinator for the West Virginia Alumni Association of Southwest FL, and enjoys playing Bunco with her neighbors.

The favorite part of her job besides helping her patients to hear better daily is the public speaking events where she can educate the public on hearing loss and how to improve and protect hearing!

Camblin-Toole Mrs. Ashley Camblin-Toole
Board Certified Licensed Hearing Instrument Specialist


Mrs. Ashley Camblin-Toole, our Licensed Hearing Instrument Specialist, has been a valuable addition to our team. Although Ashley was born and raised in Texas and began her career there almost 15 years ago, and has been practicing in Florida for the past 10. She began her career in the field of hearing help as a means of improving her own hearing loss, but quickly realized a passion for using her own struggles to understand and improve the situations of others. With three decades of wearing hearing aids she has acquired invaluable experience which allows her great ability to help our patients with their hearing issues.

 Ashley obtained management experience with a hotel renovation company doing everything from accounting to job site property management. She attended Brookhaven and Collin County College where she studied General Business and Real Estate. Ashley began in the hearing field at a private practice as a Patient Care Coordinator/Receptionist. She advanced to becoming an Audiology Assistant and then received her formal education through the International Institute for Hearing Instrument Studies. She received even more knowledge working alongside Audiologists throughout her career. Ashley especially enjoys speaking at educational seminars on hearing loss. She is very thorough in the evaluation process and specializes in educating our patients about their hearing loss, as well as in providing realistic solutions to meet each person’s individual needs. 

 Ashley is a member of many professional organizations including the International Hearing Society, Hearing Loss Association of America, Florida Society of Hearing Healthcare Professionals, Business Professionals of America, Venice Area Young Professionals, and the Business Network International.

 Ashley is married and she and her husband have been blessed with 3 amazing sons. She spends most weekends with family activities such as football, biking, swimming and watching Disney movies with her family.

Mrs. Alex Hough-Scott
Front Office Manager & Patient Care Coodinator


Mrs. Alex Hough-Scott, our Front Office Manager and Patient Care Coordinator, has been a valued member of our team for almost two years. Alex is a Florida native who was born and raised in our local community of Manatee County. While growing up Alex began playing the violin and piano and has continued with it for the past twenty years. 

Alex is the "Smile" that you hear answering our phones most days. She coordinates with our patients, doctors, insurance companies, workers comp, veterans, and manufacturers daily. She sees patients for hearing aid cleanings and minor repairs and counseling. She coordinates our busy schedule for over 7000 patients and our staff.   

Before joining the Sarasota Hearing Center family, Alex spent fifteen years in the hospitality industry. During her time in the restaurant business she gained experience in everything from front of house work to management. In her management position Alex was in charge of scheduling for up to 45 employees, had a hand in the business’s accounting work, and coordinated with entertainers for live performances.  

Alex met her husband over five years ago and they have a beautiful son who is a big ball of energy and loves playing baseball and basketball. In their down time, Alex and her family enjoys going swimming, hiking, camping, being with friends and spending time with relatives that still live in the local area. 

Ms. Mimi Snyder
Marketing Manager

Ms. Mimi Snyder, our Marketing Manager, joined us after graduating from University of Central Florida where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing. She was born and raised in Sarasota, FL and attended Riverview High School. Mimi grew up dancing at local studios where she performed, competed, and taught aspiring dancers at elementary schools throughout the area. In high school, Mimi was a part of the Riverview High School Highland Dancers and as a senior was their Principle Dancer.

During college Mimi worked as a campus ambassador for Zipcar, a car rental service, where she created and implemented marketing strategies on the university campus. Mimi also spent time as a recruitment consultant for a national healthcare recruiting company, gaining knowledge of the healthcare industry and perfecting her customer service skills.

Mimi moved back to Sarasota after her college graduation to start a career in the marketing industry. Along with her role as Marketing Manager for Sarasota Hearing Center, Mimi works as the Marketing Assistant for an Orthopedics & Sports Medicine/Pain Management practice in Bradenton and as a Promotions Assistant for iHeart Media at the local Sarasota branch. As she continues to gain knowledge in the marketing field, Mimi is exciting to use what she already knows to help spread awareness of the services and skills Sarasota Hearing Center, Inc. brings to the community. She handles our Website management as well as our social media such as Facebook, Twitter, Linked In, Snapchat, communicates with the Hearing Aid Manufacturers for various marketing and advertising events and keeps our office literature current. She also assists with our database to keep patients up to date on the latest products and treatments as well as acting as a liaison with our many referring physicians and retirement communities.
