Meet the Team
Jill W. Cardinal, Au.D.
Doctor of Audiology
Jill Cardinal has been an audiologist for over 30 years in 3 states. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Speech and Hearing Science from the University of Iowa. Her master’s degree is from the University of South Florida and her doctorate degree is from University of Florida.
Jill has worked in ENT clinics, private schools, public schools, hospitals, privately owned clinics and corporate owned clinics. She worked for 26 years in Sarasota and has also lived and worked in Tampa, Bradenton, Orlando, Atlanta and Dallas.
Jill lives in Venice and works in the Sarasota and Venice locations of Professional Hearing Group. She lives about 6 minutes from the beach and is a frequent sunset admirer and beach walker. She likes to take her dog, Rico, to the dog park. She is an active member of her church, as well as the Lions Club where she is the director of the hearing assistance program.
I love my career, and I strive to not only help each patient I work with to hear better or gain information about their ears, but I also long to see them smile and get to know them. It is truly an honor to work with each patient.
John Hinzey, HIS
Hearing Instrument Specialist
John is dedicated to helping our patients understand and communicate more effectively throughout the course of their lives, in as many different acoustic environments as possible. John received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Franklin University and has his Hearing Instrument Specialist license in Florida and Virginia.
Through education and information, John can help patients stabilize their comprehension with prescription amplification and proper usage of their hearing instrumentation. In his free time, John enjoys ballroom dancing and kayaking with his wife.
Megan Hinzey
Audiology Assistant and Front Office Manager
Mrs. Megan Hinzey, our Audiology Assistant and Front Office manager has been a valued member of our team since 2019. She coordinates with our patients, doctors, insurance companies, insurances, workers comp, Veterans, and manufacturers daily. She sees patients for hearing aid cleanings, minor repairs, and counseling. She coordinates our busy schedule for over 8000 patients and our staff.
Megan was born and raised in West Virginia. She has an associate degree in computer information technology & bookkeeping. She, also, graduated from the Wood County School of Practical Nursing & obtained her nursing license.
Before joining the Sarasota Hearing Center family, Megan spent the past 20+ years in the medical field.
In her free time, Megan enjoys ballroom dancing and kayaking with her husband. She loves going to the beach and having game nights with her 3 daughters. Her favorite activity is spoiling her granddaughters.
